Plastics formulation experts from Total Cray Valley (TCV) will be introducing a new class of additives designed to improve polyolefin properties such as tensile strength, heat deflection temperature (HDT) and flexural modulus at the 2015 SPE International Polyolefin Conference.
Anthony Marozsan, global business development manager, will present a paper titled Improving Polyolefin Performance With Ionomeric Additives at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. Total Cray Valley will also be promoting its Dymalink coagents for enhancing polypropylene and polyethylene properties at booth 40 during the show. The event takes place February 22 to 25 at the Hilton Houston North in Houston, Texas.
During his presentation, Marozsan will discuss a new class of truly novel additives never before used in the market. The ionomeric additives, part of Total Cray Valley’s Dymalink series, have been tested and shown to improve tensile strength by 10 percent, HDT by 15 percent and flexural modulus by 30 percent without significantly adding weight. Attendees can stop by booth 40 during the show to learn more about Total Cray Valley’s Dymalink 9100 and 9200 series additives for formulating plastics for automotive and industrial applications, and beyond.
The International Polyolefin Conference is hosted by the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) South Texas Section. This year’s event theme is “Four Decades of Advancing Polyolefins Technology.”
