Live From American Coatings Show
May 14 - 4, 2010
Live From American Coatings Show
The first American Coatings SHOW in 2008 was a great success. Now, all eyes are focused on Charlotte in April 13 - 15, 2010 for the next show - because, once again, the show and conference will be the best source of inspiration and trend-setting in the industry.

Featuring 331 exhibitors, the first American Coatings SHOW hosted 5,600 industry attendees from 48 countries. Visitors gained immediate access to timely information about state-of-the-art developments in raw materials, laboratory and production equipment, testing and measuring equipment, and services for the coatings industry.

Once again, the 2010 American Coatings SHOW will set the trend for future developments in the paint and coatings industry.

The American Coatings Association (formerly NPCA|FSCT) and Vincentz Network, together with NürnbergMesse North America, have designed an outstanding industry event. While offering many parallels to the European Coatings SHOW, the American Coatings SHOW will provide a strategic and operational alignment that will be invaluable to our industry.

China Coat 2009
November 18 - 20, 2009
China Coat 2009
A CHINA GLOBAL COATINGS SHOW!

The first decade of the 21st century saw China move into second place in the world when it overtook Japan in coatings output. This happened in 2002 and now it is within striking distance of dislodging USA from the number one position before the end of this decade. Having pioneered a unique model of economic development using indigenous raw materials and skill, China is now ideally poised to expand and dominate the global coatings industry.

The economic downturn in 2008 has adversely affected worldwide production, which the coatings industry cannot escape from. However, measures have been taken to diminish the effects in many countries. In China, the central government has just allocated RMBÂ¥100 billion to be used in infrastructure, which will consequently bring up demands in architectural, automobile and other industrial functional coatings. At the same time, measures have also been implemented to turn surplus of production from export to domestic demands. These will support the continuous growth of the coating industries in China.

Fierce competitions will force enterprises to seek for more cost-effective methods and materials to optimize their productions, and to improve their product quality in order to ensure their profit margins and market shares. This enterprise upgrading trend will be accompanied by the know-how improvement to be considered vigorously by enterprises. Thus, the coating industries should still think positively to further develop and consolidate their business in the China market.

Including the top ten, there are over 50 sizable foreign coatings manufacturers operating in China. With a population of over 1.4 billion, this vast (4.5 million tons worth US$11.6 billion) coatings user market represents a challenge and opportunity both for the local market participants and the rest of the world seeking to expand and diversify their business.
