l Akzo Nobel has opened a new factory for powder-based building adhesives in Rosendahl, Germany. The new facility is an integral part of an expansion plan to grow this sector.
“Our building adhesives business, which mainly trades under the name of Schönox, has shown a very successful development,” said Akzo Nobel board member Rudy Van der Meer. “An investment was vital to support further growth in this attractive market segment not only in Western, but also in Eastern Europe.” The new facility now has a total capacity of 180,000 tons, an increase of 50%.
The Rosendahl site produces a specialized range of tile and floor adhesives, as well as leveling compounds for customers in Europe.
