l BASF Corporation’s coatings regional business unit and Loctite Corp. are on five year winning streaks. Both companies have received Quality Master awards from the Smyrna, TN assembly plant of Nissan North America, Inc., marking the fifth consecutive year each has garnered the award.
BASF supplies coating systems and Loctite supplies adhesive and sealant products and processes for Nissan vehicles manufactured at the facility. The facility’s production capacity is in the area of 500,000 vehicles per year, with more than five million vehicles built to date, according to Nissan. The award is based on quality systems, shipment quality, responsiveness, purchasing support, engineering design support, inventory control and manufacturing material performance.
