l Rhodia has introduced a new cationic photoinitiator that does not release benzene. Rhodorsil 2076, Rhodia’s newest addition to its radiation cure product line, does not generate benzene during activation under UV light. It is non-irritating and non-sensitizing for safer handling. Rhodorsil 2076 is specially made for use in cationic varnishes, can coatings and flexo ink applications. Used in UV-curable processes, this new photoinitiator has higher activity, higher resistance to heat and higher solubility, according to the company.
