BASF To Supply COATINGS to Suzuki’s Hungarian Rep
BASF Coatings will supply approximately 45% of the base and clear paints for chassis and bumpers at Magyar Suzuki Co., the Hungarian representative of the Japanese automaker based in Esztergom, near Budapest. Suzuki is expanding its plant with a new paint line, which is scheduled to start operations next month, marking the first time Suzuki will be using water-based technology from BASF Coatings.
“The cooperation with Magyar Suzuki boosts BASF Coatings into a strategically important, expandable position in the eastern European market,” said Siegfried Riediger, manager for European key accounts of Japanese automobile manufacturers at BASF Coatings.
In other automotive news, BASF Coatings S.A. has been awarded the “Q1 Preferred Quality Status” prize by Ford España S.A.
