Eastman Offers Tech Tip
for Waterborne Formulations
Eastman Chemical Company has made formulating waterborne coatings with CMCAB (carboxymethyl cellulose acetate butyrate) cellulose esters easier by updating its recommended solutions and dispersions recipes. The new technical tip, CMCAB Cellulose Ester Solutions and Dispersions-NA (TT-22), covers updated optimized processes for solutions and dispersions in addition to discussing how various solvent blends can be used to reduce HAP content in aqueous organic solutions of CMCAB cellulose esters. The relationship between solvent concentration, pH and viscosity is also reviewed. The new tip is available at www.eastman.com/cmcab. More info: Eastman Chemical Company, (423) 229-6636; E-mail: peschbach@eastman.com; Web: www.eastman.com.
