Ross introduces new mixers
Charles Ross & Son Company has introduced a new line of Laboratory-Double Planetary Mixers. The new line is designed as the “DPMS” and is available in several standard sizes from one pint through four-gallon capacity. The new model is completely enclosed in stainless steel. All components are shrouded for safety, and to enhance the overall look of the unit. Included as standard features are vertical lifts, self contained control panel and single point hook-up, inverter duty motors, new HV (high viscosity) stirrer blades, expanded speed range, constant torque drive, V-belt reduction drive, higher and lower speed ranges, safety features such as two handed raise an lower controls, close tolerance mix can/hood registration and closer stirrer/can clearances. The “DPM” model is also available with a new range of optional features including special benches, jacketed mix cans and vacuum and pressure sealing designs. This mixer is designed to mix much higher viscosities than previous Double Planetary Models and is equipped with special start under load protection. In addition, the company also offers the Pint Double Planetary Mixer, which is ideally suited for the bench-top research and development of highly viscous materials, up to approximately six million centipose.
