PPG Names Alexander head
of Refinish, Kimbro, director,
marketing, refinish
Rich Alexander, senior vice president coatings has been named head of PPG’s automotive refinish, automotive replacement glass and insurance and services business units. Alexander will replace Garry A. Goudy who will retire July 1 after 36 years with PPG Industries. Alexander’s responsibilities for industrial coatings and Asia will move to William A. Wulfsohn, senior vice president coatings. In addition, Wulfsohn will move to PPG’s corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh. Michael H. MacGarry, vice president, chlor-alkali and derivatives, will relocate to PPG’s new European headquarters in Switzerland, becoming vice president, coatings, Europe and managing director, PPG Europe.
Mary L. Kimbro has been named director, marketing, refinish North America for PPG automotive refinish. In her new position, Kimbro will be responsible for leading the marketing strategies and initiatives for the North American collision, fleet and light industrial segments.
Kimbro has been with PPG for more than 20 years and has held various positions of responsibility including technical product development and training and customer service manager.
