FSCT has issued a Call for Papers for the “Coating Wood and Wood Composites: Designing for Durability” conference. To be held on July 23-25, 2007, in Seattle, WA, this program is part of the FSCT’s continuing Advancements in Coatings Series (ACSeries).
“Designing for Durability” will include a speaker and audience mix of coatings makers, specifiers, applicators, end users, lumber companies, research agencies and raw material suppliers. The organizing task force, co-chaired by R. Sam Williams, Forest Products Laboratory; Harold Hower, Journal of Architectural Coatings; and Vickie Scarborough, The Sherwin-Williams Co., is seeking presentations on the following topics including understanding wood substrates; performance products, application and testing; designing and durability; eliminating damage to wood through building envelope design; engineered wood composites; and the global marketplace.
