KB Home, Sherwin-Williams join forces

KB Home, one of America's largest homebuilders, has teamed up with Sherwin-Williams to use an exclusive line of co-branded, low-VOC interior paints in all new homes that begin construction after January 1, 2009. The paint is formulated to be low in odor, resists mildew and is designed to help promote healthier indoor air quality.

KB Home has committed to use low-VOC paints across all of its homebuilding operations as detailed in the company's sustainability report released in July 2008. The KB Home Studios, where customers select options to customize their new KB homes, now offers a selection of the new low-VOC interior paint colors as part of its My Home. My Earth. line.

KB Home honored Sherwin-Williams at its 2008 Strategic Partners Conference with a Sustainability Partnership award. The awards were presented to companies whose products have made a positive contribution to KB Home's My Home. My Earth. strategic environmental initiative.
