The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association (CPCA) has appointed a new board of directors at its annual meeting. The new CPCA board includes, Pierre Dufresne, AkzoNobel Deocrative Paints Canada; André Buisson, Societé Larentide Inc.; Rick Duha, The Duha Group; Brian Edwards, DuPont Performance Coatings; Sharon Kelly, Kelcoatings Ltd.; Mike Klein, Dominion Color Corp.; Darrin Noble, Home Hardware Stores; Brian Roberson, PPG Canada; Ed Thompson, L.V. Lomas Ltd.; Richard Tremblay, Benjamin Moore; Fred Veghelyi, SI Group-Canada and Tim Vogel, Cloverdale Paint.
In other news, the CPCA recognized two executives for their service to the industry at its annual conference in Niagra Falls. Bruce Henderson was recognized as the 2009 Industry Statesman for his years of leadership and work in ensuring that the coatings indsutry was represented in the design of regulations at the federal, provincial and municipal levels. Brian Edwards was presented with the 2009 Roy Kennedy Outstanding Achievement Award for the critical role he played, as CPCA chair, in the transformation of the CPCA to a successful, modern association.
