Perstorp Introduces Voxtar

October 5, 2010

Perstorp has launched Voxtar, a renewable pentaerythritol platform, which can reduce the carbon footprint by 63% compared to fossil-based Penta and Di-Penta, according to the company. Voxtar products maximize value by helping formulators and producers capitalize on the growing demand for renewable alternatives. It enhances performance and minimizes environmental impact in a wide range of end products including high performance alkyd paints and coatings, synthetic lubricants, cosmetic emollients, adhesives and printing inks. By combining the renewability of Voxtar with the latest waterborne technology, high-solid alkyd paints and alkyd emulsion paints secure superior environmental performance with up to a 40% reduction in carbon footprint compared to traditional petroleum-based latex paints.
