The National Composites Centre (NCC) is pleased to announce that Lucintel, a premier global management consulting and market research firm, has joined as an Associate Member.
A key part of the membership will be providing the NCC with valuable Lucintel market reports and briefs, mainly on key composites industry sector activities both nationally in the UK and globally; Lucintel has over 50 published reports covering composites and advanced materials. All Lucintel market reports will be available at preferential rates to all NCC members. There are now 35 NCC Members, from a wide variety of sectors including, aerospace, automotive, renewables, oil and gas, transport and security and defence.
Dr. Sanjay Mazumdar, Lucintel CEO commented: “We’ve joined the NCC because Lucintel has seen how the NCC, with its impressive facilities, has now become a vital part of the growing hi–tech composites industry in the UK looking to innovate, design and manufacture the composites products of the future. We believe the NCC and fellow members will benefit from having a global market research company such as ourselves, with our long standing focus on composites, advanced materials and related industries, as part of the NCC membership team.”
Tom Hitchings, NCC Business Development Director said: “The NCC is delighted that Lucintel is joining our ever increasing number of members as an Associate Member. The company is globally acknowledged for producing specialist market intelligence, high quality reports and conducting market research. Their membership will provide a valuable additional resource of information for the NCC, our Members and the Composites Industry in the UK.”
He continued, “Because the NCC provides an open innovation environment enabling Knowledge and Technology Transfer across industry sectors for collaborative projects, it’s vital that knowledge is captured through reports for the benefit of all. We are doubling the size of the centre to over 17,500 m2 to enhance the facilities with a dedicated High Volume Press and part handling area, large scale part assembly, and to increase the capacity of the workshop, test facilities, laboratories, offices and meeting rooms. The new building will also provide dedicated resources with smaller bespoke equipment more suited to address the emerging needs of sectors new to the amazing light-weighting properties of composites.”
The NCC offers the opportunity to develop, adapt, scale up and validate new and existing processes and technologies, providing open-access to state-of-the-art equipment, specialist software, and expertise. Companies collaborating at the NCC benefit from working alongside other leading original equipment manufacturers, material and equipment suppliers. The NCC also provides help to develop and co-ordinate training to support the skills necessary for applying advanced and specialist composite technologies.
