The Women's Association of Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is pleased to announce Benjamin Moore as a sponsor for its 17th Mansion In May Designer Showhouse and Gardens to be held at the historic BLAIRSDEN mansion in Peapack-Gladstone, New Jersey, May 1 - 31. New Jersey-based paint manufacturer, Benjamin Moore, is participating as an event sponsor and has also donated the paint being used by top New Jersey and New York interior designers who are busy restoring and decorating the magnificent mansion in time for public touring during the month-long event.
BLAIRSDEN is a 62,000 square foot Louis XIV Chateau-style mansion, hailed as one of the finest examples of Beaux-Arts architecture in the United States. "We are thrilled to welcome Benjamin Moore to this historic property," said Mansion in May Co-Chair Prudence Pigott of Far Hills. "Great things happen with the help of generous corporate sponsors like Benjamin Moore."
"As a New Jersey-based company, we are committed to giving back to our community and are thrilled to work with all of the talented designers that have worked tirelessly to restore BLAIRSDEN to its grandeur," said Kimberlee Bradshaw, Director of Corporate Communications & Giving, Benjamin Moore. "We are honored to have our paint featured in one of the nation's historical gems while benefitting the Women's Association of Morristown Medical Center."
BLAIRSDEN was constructed in the early 1900s as a country estate and family home by the New York financier and sportsman, C. Ledyard Blair. The mansion features grand and opulent rooms with 14-foot tall ceilings, ornately carved architectural details and sweeping views of the Somerset Hills from every space.
Mansion in May visitors to BLAIRSDEN will access the hill-top property by shuttle bus through the estate's original farm on Blair Drive, opening exclusively for Mansion in May. The Mansion tour will include 53 interior design spaces and the beautifully restored landscape spaces, including the home's famous Reflecting Pool lined with Roman statues, the Walled Garden and the View Terrace, where the Blair Family entertained guests at their four daughters' weddings nearly 100 years ago. Visitors are invited to enjoy on-site Boutiques shopping and luncheon dining at the Conservatory Café, overlooking a spectacular view.
Mansion in May proceeds will benefit two pediatric needs at Goryeb Children's Hospital, Morristown Medical Center. An expansion of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new Autism Center are planned. Mansion in May 2014 at BLAIRSDEN in Peapack-Gladstone, New Jersey, will be open every day for the month of May. Advance tickets are $40, available online until April 30. Tickets purchased online and at the door during May will be $50.
