Recipients were presented with a plaque and honorarium at the conference award ceremony during the 2015 CoatingsTech Conference, March 9-11, in Louisville, Ky. The two-and-a-half-day, biennial conference is geared toward enabling coatings manufacturers, their suppliers, universities, and government representatives to share ideas, to continue to grow, and to innovate through effective collaboration.
The Roon Award is designed to recognize technical papers representing original scientific and innovative research directly related to the protective coatings industry and presented by an individual associated with the organic coatings industry. Award competition presenters are individuals associated with the organic coatings industry, including manufacturers, raw material suppliers, educational institutions, and research laboratories. In order to be eligible for this award, presenters must request to be considered for the Roon Awards with their abstract submission.
The Roon Award, administered through ACA’s Roon Award Committee, is given annually at ACA’s American Coatings Conference and the CoatingsTech Conference.
