Axalta Coating Systems has announced that Jessica Cicali, Associate General Counsel for North America, was honored as a “Rising Star” by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Cicali received the Rising Star award at the Philadelphia Business Journal’s fourth Annual Corporate Counsel Awards on Thursday, December 10 in front of more than 200 attendees at The Union League of Philadelphia.
The Rising Star award is given to an attorney under the age of 40 who is making an impact at both his or her company and in the community. Winners are selected by a panel of judges comprised of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s editorial staff.
Cicali was nominated by Axalta’s General Counsel for North America, Jas Hayes. “Jessica has made a profound impact on our business and in the community,” said Hayes. “She has been integral to contract negotiations and in developing streamlined processes. Jessica is also a champion for people with developmental and physical disabilities. She has served on the Board of the Arc of Chester County, located in Pennsylvania, since 2012 and has dedicated many hours and energy to the cause.”
“I’m honored to be recognized as a Rising Star. Axalta is a great place to work with fantastic colleagues. I love the variety of work I get to tackle here,” said Cicali. “The special needs community has a big place in my heart, and I am just as honored to be a voice for those who may not have their own.”
