NACE International, The Corrosion Society, has selected Buddy Reams as its new chief maritime officer (CMO). Reams brings an extensive range of expertise from his nearly three decades of service in the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
As NACE International’s CMO, Reams’ first priority will be to develop corrosion control programs and services to meet increasing demand from the maritime, shipbuilding, and offshore sectors. Reams will also manage all NACE initiatives within the International Maritime Organization, INTERTANKO, INTERCARGO, International Standards Organization, and other maritime-related organizations.
Prior to his role with NACE International, Reams successfully led USCG activities ranging from commercial vessel safety policy and standards development to major incident responses.
