Van Horn, Metz & Co., Inc., specialty raw material distributor for the industrial markets, welcomes Andrew A. Romano as its new Regional Sales Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region. A technical sales professional and an experienced product development manager, Andy will provide support for select accounts in his region. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the chemical industry, from developing and managing coatings additives product line to direct sales responsibilities and distribution management for MMA flooring systems and saturated polyesters.

Prior to joining Van Horn, Metz, Andy was the Coatings Resins Market Manager for Evonik Corp. He also served as the Product Manager for GAF Materials Corp. and Project Manager for Drew Division Ashland Chemical. Andy’s technical background includes research and development of new products for coatings, inks, latex and adhesives industries focused on foam control, inverse emulsion polymers and water soluble polymers. His experience as a Senior Research Chemist lead him into developing several patents for foam control agents for coatings, silicone based defoamers and UV curable additives for low gloss coating.
