Sika Automotive announces its participation at the Insight Edition @ General Motors, taking place on September 20 and 21 at the Marriott Renaissance Center, Detroit, Michigan. Sika Automotive will be exhibiting with its latest innovations in sealing and bonding. Along with the product exhibit, Sika R&D expert, Dr. Christian Eyholzer, will be presenting at the event.
Interest in multi-material substrates and innovative joining methods have risen significantly in the last few years, as more vehicles now incorporate non-traditional materials into their body structures.
Dr. Eyholzer will present on the topic of “Crash Resistant Multi-material and Low Bake Body Shop Adhesives for Vehicle Lightweighting”, detailing the development of crash-resistant structural adhesive for use in low bake manufacturing process. Sika will be exhibiting its SikaPower® product, which is designed for structural bonding of metals, including aluminum and other mixed-material body applications.
