Greif announces the completion of a major capital improvement to its steel drum paint line at its Warminster, PA facility. This investment is just one example of how Greif is working towards their company’s vision of: “In industrial packaging, be the best performing customer service company in the world.”
The new paint line for the steel drum plant in Warminster, PA will become operational by late September. This multi-million dollar state-of-the-art paint line was internally designed by Mike Morrison, Regional Engineering Manager and Mike Cooper, Senior System Integrator along with others. Morrison explains, “This project was a team effort, which enabled us to consider the environmental requirements and physical constraints of the plant. We were able to optimize the drum transport system and the filtration and air movement systems within the paint booth. The design allows for ease of use for the operators, intuitive adjustments, quick changeovers, effective cleanup and ease of maintenance.”
Plant manager, Chris Weinrauch, shares his excitement for this system coming online, “This system and design will allow us to be more efficient and will improve overall quality and consistency to meet our customers’ expectations regarding the value of the product they have come to expect from Greif. This is our commitment to customer service excellence.” Weinrauch has been an important driver in the completion of this project.
