Assurance has recognized Painters USA as a Minimizing Risk, Maximizing Health (MRMH) Award recipient. Painters USA, a leading Midwest commercial and industrial painting company, has been a client of Assurance the past five years.
The MRMH Award is open to all Assurance clients that work alongside the Top 50 U.S. insurance brokerage to achieve quantifiable results in minimizing workplace risk and maximizing the health and wellbeing of employees. Clients must meet certain criteria to qualify, including a large quantifiable reduction or improvement in a variety of key areas.
In 2011, Painters USA – a leading Midwest commercial and industrial painting company – experienced several serious workers’ compensation claims, including one very severe injury. Like many companies, Painters USA had dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s when it came to safety requirements and laws. However, the safety manual was sitting up on the shelf; safety was not as deeply ingrained within the company culture. As a result, their Experience Modification Rating (EMR) rose well above 1.0 greatly impacting the company’s ability to bid on work for certain high profile clients.
Partnering with Assurance, Painters USA quickly put procedures in place that made employee safety number one and established long-term goals for improving EMR and controlling workers’ compensation costs. Some of those initiatives included:
“We’re proud to partner with companies like Painters USA, because we know that partnership can be extremely powerful,” said Jackie Gould, Chief Operating Officer. When we bring the tools, resources and experience to help companies manage risk and combine that with the expertise, drive and leadership of Painters USA… real magic happens.”
Painters USA was presented the MRMH Award at their headquarters in Glendale Heights, Ill.
