Axalta Coating Systems shared coating expertise at the Powder Coating Institute’s (PCI) Powder Coating 101: Basic Essentials workshop held October 18-20, 2016 at Axalta’s powder manufacturing plant in Houston, Texas.
The two-day workshop provided an introduction to powder coating and focused on the fundamentals of the powder coating process. The event featured expert-led instruction on a variety of subjects including pretreatment, powder application, booth recovery systems and system loading, and offered a hands-on lab demonstration of powder coating equipment.
Michael Withers, Axalta’s Architectural Segment Leader presented a session titled, Choosing and Testing the Correct Powder and Processing Powder Materials.
“We are happy to partner with PCI to offer opportunities to those interested in learning about powder coating,” said Withers. “As a coatings leader, we believe it is important to connect with our customers and share key insights to help contribute to their business success.”
