We currently have the following opportunity for a Chemical Operator available:Process Development Operators work closely with Development Engineers in the development, scale-up and process improvement of new and existing products and processes. Our Operators work an 8 hour fixed physical schedule which includes some holidays and weekends. If you are interested in joining our team as a ''Chemical Operator'', please apply to this posting. •Process chemical products using batch sheet instructions and safety procedures.
•Safely operate equipment to produce chemical products (e.g., valves, mixers, pumps and control equipment).
•Communicate and make material transfers.
•Load and unload material containers (e.g., drums, totes, and pails).
•Clean/prepare equipment, as required, for maintenance.
•Track/record process information and production data.
REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
•Minimum of 1 year chemical operation or industrial manufacturing experience.
•Basic math and reading skill
•Strong interpersonal communication skills (oral/written)
•Ability to plan tasks independently
•Physically able to move drums weighing up to 800 lbs. with the use of drum cart equipment.
•Ability to lift 55 lbs.
•Willing to work outdoors in inclement weather (10% of the time)
•Willing to work an 8 hour fixed shift and overtime, if needed. Must be willing to work either
2nd or 3rd shift. (4p-12a and 12p-8p)
•Occasionally wear SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus)
•Solid computer skills with the ability to read the various computer screens and field instruments
•Participation in plant emergency response organization is required (fire and emergency rescue)
•Able to wear a full face cartridge / supplied air respirator
•Previous forklift and tow motor experience
•Knowledge of chemistry and chemical hazards
•Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
•Knowledge of Lubrizol business and chemistry
•Display individual initiative and mechanical aptitude
•Knowledge of pumping operations, tank operations, and filtration equipment
•Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and act on them.
•Previous experience in a team-based work environment
•Interest in leadership
SALARY RANGE: $33,992 TO $45,121
BONUS ELIGIBLE
