The job involves both direct selling and managing relationships with industry groups. Travel to trade shows, industry meetings and large prospects is expected about once a month.

Qualifications
Sales experience in the paint and decorating industry AND/OR sales experience in retail point-of-sale systems.
Excellent communications, writing and negotiation skills.
Understanding of sales, purchasing and inventory management in a retail environment.
Proficiency with Windows software especially Microsoft Office and Contact Management (Goldmine) tools.
Reasonable knowledge of basic accounting.
