Young and growing US-based specialty pigment company with global reach seeks (Technical) Sales & Marketing Director to run US & Canadian markets, consisting of direct accounts and distributors. Markets include coatings, inks and plastics, among others. Significant growth opportunity.

Desired candidate has had at least five years experience in pigment sales and marketing in a professional business environment. This person has probably worked for a very large pigment company and seen how to do things professionally. However, this person wants to spread his/her wings and make things happen. This person would rather sell a pallet of specialty pigment over a truckload of white. We're seeking hunters, not farmers. No bureaucracy or clock watching here, just doing whatever it takes to make our customers love us, while balancing being extremely financially disciplined. Extensive use of technology to automate sales process is expected. Travel is anticipated at 30-50% and the position can be based anywhere in the US, preferably near customer base. This is a significant growth opportunity for the right individual.
Desired Skills and Expertise
Qualifications/Education are flexible but preference given to candidates with:
• A degree in chemistry/chemical engineering or reasonable experience in this area
• Continuing business education (besides just time in the trenches)
• Analytical/math aptitude
• Awesome interpersonal skills
