Position: Color Program Manager

Gemini Coatings is seeking a Color Program Manager to manage and direct its corporate color program. The position is an mid level position with growth opportunities. Position is fulltime and has full benefits, including 401K match, vacation time, annual/monthly bonus potential, health and dental insurance, and many more benefits.
The Color Program Manager will evaluate, develop, and implement an industry leading corporate color program that meets current industry demands and that will surpass our customers’ expectation in color accuracy and timing.

•Establish, create, implement and reinforce procedures to ensure efficiency through Gemini’s color series and customer locations.
The Color Program Manager is granted the necessary authority to manage, direct and administer the operations of Gemini Industries, Inc. under the control of this position. This authority includes, but may not be limited to:
•With adequate information, this position may provide color recommendations and color expertise of products.Verify that procedures are followed on all Gemini owned locations and oversee all non-manufacturing related color process and tinting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Research new color technologies.
•Develop state of the art laboratory practices to color match samples containing pigments and dyes.
•Provide color training to all locations and customers.
•Interact with Gemini’s laboratory and provide guidance on all color related projects.
•Provides assistance to co-workers in investigating and resolving color problems.
•Research and develop color mathematics and algorithms for color related refinish paint formulation and adjustment for both solid and effect pigmentations.
•Manage daily custom color matches for Gemini.
•Provide infield and on campus technical color support for everyday issues and complaint resolution.
•Attends technical training as approved by management.
•With the help of sales and the laboratory, determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific color products and solutions.
•Proactively recommend color information needed by sales and customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
•Educate outside/inside customers about color terminology, features and benefits of color packages in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
•Setup and maintain sales and customer projects in regards to color.
•Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the color group.
•Follow company policies and procedures.
•Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
•With the help of management, partner with the Sales team to provide customers with excellent service.
•Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns in regards to color.
•Performs other job related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

•Education: a minimum of a high-school education, college degree preferred.
•Experience: At least five years of custom color matching, color problem resolution and in field technical support experience is required. Must be able to develop and implement a program.
•Skills/Knowledge: The Color Program Manager must:
1.Be able to produce results with little direct supervision.
2.Thorough understanding of color measurement and color measurement devices.
3.Good understanding of colored coatings technologies including paint formulation and production techniques.
4 Be flexible to perform infield and on site color support related tasks.
5.Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
6.Be a proactive problem solver.
7.Be product literate.
8.The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
9.Must be self-motivated and goal oriented.
10.Possess a high work ethic, moral and personal integrity and honesty.
11.Be mature, flexible and self-motivated.
12.Exemplify professionalism in personal appearance, manner and dress according to acceptable standards set by the company.
Job Related Working Requirements
1.Must be computer literate.
2.Must be able to see color.
3.Must be equipment literate, specifically to color wheels and color match computer software.
4.Proficient in Microsoft Office related products, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft.
