Job Description:
The R & D Chemist will work alongside the Regional R & D manager and will be responsible for developing and optimizing products, testing alternative raw materials and enhancing the technical competence in the region by establishing and performing tasks in the R & D plan and utilizing available resources in order to increase business competitiveness and profitability.

The R & D Chemist will work alongside the Regional R & D manager and will be responsible for developing and optimizing products, testing alternative raw materials and enhancing the technical competence in the region by establishing and performing tasks in the R & D plan and utilizing available resources in order to increase business competitiveness and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out required development and maintenance tasks by planning, formulating, testing and evaluating recipes and raw materials. This is carried out in consultation with a professional advisor and in accordance with the R&D plan.
- Report results from development and maintenance work both orally and written through R&D and monthly reports to ensure that the correct decisions, based on current experience, are made.
- Search for and make use of knowledge through literature, practical experience, learning from others as well as attending courses to be in a position to work more independently with more complex R&D tasks.
- Have formulation responsibility for locally developed products and for global products adapted and adjusted to meet local requirements in the Americas.
- Be updated on profession through good contact with; internal departments, raw material suppliers, external R&D institutions and other co-operation partners. Communicate this knowledge to bring in new technology and know-how to the company.
