Job Description:
Nuplex Resins LLC is a global leading innovator and manufacturer of resins used in architectural, industrial, automotive and protective coatings. Currently has an immediate opportunity for a Chemist or Scientist for its Louisville, KY facility. This position will report directly to the Applications Lab Manager.
The primary purpose of this position is to assume the responsibilities of Applications and Technical Support activities for Automotive OEM and high-end metal coating segments. The Applications Chemist will also conduct research and development projects, and provide technical support to both the synthesis laboratory and our resin customers. This support is in the field of paint technology and involves formulation, testing and evaluation of coatings. Expertise in clear coat and basecoat formulation, rheology additives, flow-levelling and sagging behavior of coating layers is a plus.
We are looking for a candidate with a BS/BA/MS degree in Chemistry/Polymers/Coatings. Minimum Five years experience in the product development of coatings in Industrial and Architectural Areas. Demonstrated strength in waterborne formulation is needed. The candidate must have a working knowledge of laboratory equipment and be computer literate.
