Job Description:
The Market Manager will work in partnership with the Director Marketing & Segment Strategy. The primary function will be the development and implementation of marketing plans, strategic objectives, and pricing which maximize TCI Powder’s sales, profitability, and approvals in the respective market segment while effectively utilizing the company’s resources and capabilities.

In addition, the Market Manager will be responsible for:
  • Coordinate the formulation and ensures viability of the Strategic Business Plan for the Market Segment
  • Development of a 1 year tactical (Sales Plan/Budget) and 3 year strategic market plan based on market analysis, trends, and product portfolios that includes sales and gross profit goals for the segment
  • Development of a SWOT analysis and brand position strategy for the various sub-segments 
  • Identifies and quantifies new business opportunities that align with TCI’s existing and future product/technology capabilities
  • Develop and execute new concepts, business models, channels, and partners to position TCI as innovator and leader
  • Provides leadership and direction to the sales team on customer prospecting, development, and commercialization that aligns with established strategies
  • Work with regional sales team to develop new business opportunities
  • Coordination of large national and multi-national customers & prospects
  • Works with industry specifiers to obtain approvals
  • Provides direction and priority setting for the segment’s Technical/R&D projects that align with established strategies
  • Manage existing product portfolio
  • Develop and manage multi-generational product portfolio
  • Responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting for all economic, industry, market and competitive data/activity for the segment
  • Facilitate monthly segment strategy meeting with key members (R&D, Sales, Manufacturing, Finance & Marketing) and publish a monthly report showing progress to KPI established in the Strategic Plan
  • Join key industry associations and participate on committees. Engage customers and industry partners on social media
  • Gather and analyze customer insight to nurture and enrich all external perceptions of the company and growth of the segment
  • And other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience:
This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of market related experience in the Sales & Market Management.
