Job Description:

- Directing the manufacturing, warehouse and maintenance workforce.
- Directly responsible for hiring/terminating bargaining unit employees.
- Interface with the bargaining unit business agent as needed.
- Responsible for timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Scheduling of production and inventory control.
- Oversight of regulatory compliance and reporting as well as safety training and compliance, including inspections and record keeping.
- Oversight of factory/warehouse building and equipment maintenance and housekeeping.
- Interface with lab personnel, customer service and sales as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Multiple years of prior experience in plant and production management, preferably in paint and/or chemicals.
- Understanding and prior experience with regulatory compliance, reporting and oversight.
- Understanding and prior experience with industrial chemicals.
- Trained in Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean Initiatives, and/or other methodologies intended to propel continuous process, productivity, manufacturing and product quality improvement.
- Familiarity with production software, Microsoft Word and Excel.
