Released by Micro Powders, Inc.

July 12, 2014

At Micro Powders, Inc. we pride ourselves in developing unique micronized waxes to help the formulator produce superior technical products. The grades listed below will assist you in selecting the most appropriate Micro Powders’ wax additive that will provide a variety of enhancements to various types of UV coatings and inks. The recommended addition levels* and some of the key performance benefits of selected products are included in this brochure. The typical method of incorporation is to add the micronized wax to the formula in the let-down stage. Otherwise a predispersion of wax may also be produced to allow easy addition to any portion of the formula. To obtain optimum results when formulating matte and textured UV coatings, it is advisable to choose a photoinitiator combination that cures from the bottom up.
