BASF Coatings in Russia honored as long-standing supplier of GM-AvtoVAZ

Russian auto maker GM-AvtoVAZ has presented BASF Coatings with its 2011 Supplier Award. Ilya Agapov, BASF Coatings Regional account manager, accepted the award from Julia Tril, responsible for quality at GM-AvtoVAZ, and procurement manager Denis Schurowsky. BASF was distinguished as a long-standing and reliable partner that the company said contributes to ongoing product improvement. GM-AvtoVAZ, a Russian joint stock company, was established as a Russian automotive producer in 2001. The company produces the Chevrolet NIVA at its Togliatti plant. BASF Coatings supplies the carmaker with all the paint materials used at the plant. The products are manufactured at locations including BASF’s Pavlovsky Posad site. The facility enables BASF to supply the automotive industry in the high growth Russian market locally.
