Lanxess Increases Prices for Iron Oxides

Published December 14, 2010
Subject to existing contracts, Lanxess is increasing its prices worldwide for iron oxide pigments by at least Euro 110 (or local currency equivalent) per metric ton, with immediate effect. The inorganic pigments said the continuation of elevated raw material, energy and freight costs were the primary reasons for the increase. Iron oxides produced by Lanxess are marketed under the trade names Bayferrox, Bayoxide and Colortherm.
