RAHN has expanded its range of specialty monomers with two new reactive diluents—Genomer 1119 and Genomer 1121M. Both products are acrylic acid ester and are recommended for radiation curable inks, coatings and adhesives. Genomer 1119 is 4-tert-butylcyclohexyl acrylate and Genomer 1121M is isobornyl methacrylate
Features of Genomer 1119 include high flexibility; medium-high hardness; low shrinkage; and good adhesion.
Features of Genomer 1121M include low shrinkage; hydrophobic; good adhesion; low yellowing; and good for heat and water resistance
Due to their high Tg’s both products provide high hardness and toughness said the company.
