Published September 16, 2011
The performance monomers business of The Dow Chemical Company increased capacity for the production of crude acrylic acid (CAA) at its Böhlen, Germany facility by 25 percent. This additional CAA at Böhlen will be used to increase butyl acrylate (BA) and glacial acrylic acid (GAA) production at the site. Dow is the world’s largest producer of acrylic, methacrylic and specialty monomers. Dow’s performance monomers business provides acrylic monomers used primarily in coatings, inks, textiles, home and personal care and energy markets.
