Published September 22, 2011
Dow Chemical's performance monomers business has expanded capacity for the production of crude acrylic acid (CAA) at its Bühlen, Germany facility by 25%. The additional CAA at Böhlen will be used to increase butyl acrylate (BA) and glacial acrylic acid (GAA) production at the site. Dow is one of the world's largest producers of acrylic, methacrylic and specialty monomers. Acrylic monomers from Dow are used primarily in coatings, inks, textiles, home and personal care and energy markets.
