l For the third quarter ended Sept. 28, Sico, Inc. posted net earnings of $3.19 million, up 3.4% over net earnings achieved during the same period in 2000. Sales also rose 3.4% to $56.6 million, due mainly to the contribution generated by business acquired from Chemcraft International, Inc. in Dec. 2000.
For the nine-month period ended Sept. 28, Sico achieved year-to-date net earnings of $8.49 million, up 12.9% over net earnings recorded for the corresponding period in 2000. Sales rose by 5.8 percent to total $179.3 million.
