l Alan Ross, vice president and technical director of Kop-Coat, Inc., an RPM company based in Pittsburgh, PA, has been elected president of the American Wood-Preservers’ Association (AWPA).
AWPA is focused on the development of standards and the dissemination of technical information on preservative treated wood. AWPA standards cover a wide range of treated wood products including utility poles, railroad ties, docks, windows and backyard decks.

Alan Ross of Kop-Coat has been tapped to lead AWPA.
