Garry J. Edington of Avon Lake, OH has been awarded a patent for a liquid coating that is thermally-curable in the presence of oxygen. The coating is comprised of a monomer or oligomer containing two or more acrylate and/or methacrylate functional groups; an azo initiator and oxygen. The composition has a VOC content of less than one pound of VOC per gallon, according to the patent.
