Second Quarter Results
● Kemira reported that second quarter net sales of the paint business
grew one percent over the same period last year,
totaling $133.9 million. Year-to-date net sales were $234.1
million, nearly the same as 2001. Sales have been good in
the main market areas, except for industrial coatings,
according to the company.
Net sales reported by Kemira’s decorative paints unit
were up two percent with growth in the Russian market
especially strong, according to the company. Net sales of
industrial coatings fell by seven percent.
