The Benjamin Moore Heroes of Freedom Fund provides scholarships for post-secondary study to the dependents of those who lost their lives or were permanently disabled during the September 11th attack. This $1 million fund will benefit the children, spouses and domestic partners of the victims, including the flight crews and airline passengers, World Trade Center and Pentagon workers and visitors, as well as fire fighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians and relief workers.
“The Benjamin Moore Heroes of Freedom Fund is established on behalf of our employees and our network of independent retailers,” said Yvan Dupuy, president and chief executive officer of Benjamin Moore & Co. “It will assist those who lost family members or were permanently disabled on that tragic day. The Benjamin Moore Heroes of Freedom Fund represents the company’s commitment to those whose lives were forever changed on September 11, 2001. We believe that the funding of education is a primary first step to ensure their recovery.”
