New Isocyanate for Coatings
● Huntsman Polyurethanes has introduced
Rubinate 9447 isocyanate. This low
viscosity product, approximately 700
cps, is used to manufacture polyurea
coatings for applications that require
lower hardness and good flexibility. In
addition, the slower gel time of five
seconds and tack-free time of more
than 12 seconds make Rubinate 9447
isocyanate easier to process into
polyurea coatings compared to standard
isocyantes, according to the company.
