Manufacturing of general industrial coatings will be transferred from Akzo Nobel’s sites in Malmö, Sweden and Wloclawek, Poland to Tikkurila’s production facilities in Vantaa, Finland and Debica, Poland within 18 months.
Sales for Akzo Nobel’s Nordic business in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Poland were approximately E17 million in 2001, according to Kemira.

l Tremco, Inc., a subsidiary of RPM, Inc., has formed the Fire Protection Systems (FPS) Group to market and service its TREMstop line of passive fire control products in North America.
Tremco formed the FPS Group to aggressively pursue the $150 million passive fire control market segment. It contends it is now the only sealant company in the passive fire control business.
