● Glidden has been named Vendor Partner of the Year for 2002 by The Home Depot’s Maintenance
Warehouse, the first time that Glidden has won this award in four years of doing business with the company.
The award acknowledges impressive volume increase and superior service and dedication to the
paint category and continued partnership with Maintenance Warehouse.
“2002 has been an exceptional year for our trade business with Maintenance Warehouse, one in
which we are trending toward a 64% increase in total paint sales over 2001,” said Preston Bowen, vice
president of sales for ICI Paints’ Glidden brand. “We are extremely proud to receive this award because
it is only presented to those companies who deliver excellence every day.”
Next year’s marketing communication plan for Maintenance Warehouse’s paint category will include
direct marketing, advertising and color collateral, among other initiatives designed to grow the busi-ness and serve the maintenance customer,
according to the company.
