BASF Reports 2002 Sales of €2.1 Billion
● The coatings division of BASF reported 2002 year-end sales of
€2.1 billion, down slightly from the previous year’s sales figure
of €2.3 billion. The decline in global sales was a result
primarily of currency losses, according to the company.
Automotive OEM coatings represented the largest portion
of sales, accounting for 45% of sales, followed by industrial
coatings (25%), automotive refinish products (20%)
and decorative paints (15%).
