Engelhard Corporation has introduced a new red-shade pigment for use in industrial coatings that offers better weather-fastness than alternative pigments without an increase in cost. Engelhard Synergy Orange 6118 showed a significant improvement over Pigment Orange 34, and can be used in a wide variety of industrial coatings, including powder coatings and water-based coatings. Plant trials also show that the new pigment performs well in tractor and farm equipment coatings, according to Engelhard.
