Powder Coatings 2004, to be held Sept. 21–23 in Charlotte, NC, will open its conference program with a keynote presentation from retired Harley-Davidson executive Clyde Fessler, who played an integral part in the dramatic changes at motorcycle maker.
In the 1980s, Harley-Davidson found itself facing severe domestic market conditions and heavy foreign competition, and in its search for a strategic way to compete, launched a program that included a new manufacturing process with powder coating of major motorcycle components.
By pre-registering for the full conference prior to Aug. 7, you can win a chance to join Fessler for breakfast prior to his presentation. More info: Anne Goyer, (513) 624-9988; E-mail: aygoyer@one.net.
