ICI PAINTS Awards Dodge
Van to CAlifornia-Based Professional Painter Team
Pacific Northwest Painters Inc., Alameda, CA, has won ICI Paints’ 2003 Dodge Sprinter cargo van contest for its exterior architectural work on three main buildings located at historic Jack London Square in Oakland, CA. The nationwide contest was open to consumers and professional painting contractors. Entries were judged on skill and indication of how ICI Paints and related products were used to complete a project based on overall impression, degree of difficulty and size.
For its first place effort, Pacific Northwest Painters was presented with a 2004 Dodge Sprinter cargo van from Hartzheim Dodge, a SprayTech EPX 2305 airless sprayer and a Werner six-foot stepladder
The winning project entailed extensive renovation of three buildings at the square. ICI paint and other products were recommended by the building owner’s architect, Shah Kawasaki, and Pacific Northwest Painters president and in-house architectural colorist Cornelia Grunseth. In all, nearly 650 gallons of ICI paint and primer were used in the project
