DuPont Refinish, Aston Martin working together
DuPont Refinish has secured a double coup with luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin. It has been named preferred aftermarket paint supplier to Aston Martin as well as being part of the DuPont CoatingSolutions agreement for supply of paint to the production line at Aston Martin’s manufacturing site in Gaydon, Warkwickshire, UK.
With the DuPont Refinish waterborne range Cromax being used both as an OEM paint and as a preferred repair paint in the Aston Martin body repair program, Aston Martin customers can be certain of flawless color matching in all repairs, no matter where in the world they are, the company said.
Andy Moores, country business manager, DuPont Refinish UK and Ireland said, “This is one of the highest profile accolades one can attain. I believe it shows the depth of professional service in our team and we shall work hard to ensure all Aston Martin bodyshops receive the product, technical and business support they need to help build a strong network for the future.”
The aftermarket agreement confirms the position of DuPont Refinish as preferred paint supplier to the Aston Martin body repair program and covers all aspects of warranty repairs, technical support and business consultancy.
On the OEM side, Aston Martin’s founders in 1914 believed a sports car should have a distinctive and individual character and that it should be built to the highest standards. Today, at Aston Martin’s state-of-the-art production line—home to the symbol of quintessential Englishness, the DB9—DuPont Performance Coatings is helping to maintain these goals by providing high quality paint, know-how and all paint-related support.
Terry Robinson, business manager DuPont CoatingSolutions UK, said, “Because Aston Martin is such a well respected brand and its cars are the epitome of luxury, the very best was demanded from all of its OEM suppliers. DuPont CoatingSolutions materials
